Accuplacer Test Information

Opportunities to take the Accuplacer at your high school

As part of our K-12 Connections outreach to public and charter schools, MCTC staff provide free Accuplacer assessment in the Minneapolis high schools. This assessment determines whether pre-college coursework is needed, and whether a student is eligible for PSEO or concurrent enrollment. Accuplacer results provide teachers and counselors with information to help students better prepare to take college-level coursework.

Accuplacer testing is completed on the computer and typically takes two hours. Students for whom English is their native language take reading, writing and math placement tests. Results are available at the end of the testing session. Each student will meet with an MCTC advisor immediately after testing to discuss their placement scores.

If you are interested in having MCTC provide Accuplacer testing at your high school, please contact Dena.Russell@minneapolis.edu for additional information.
